New Digs and New Photos

The office is officially relocated to Spring Hill! We're now in a fantastic three bedroom house with plenty of space to stretch out. Everything went smoothly during the move with one exception: Charter cable has yet to turn on my cable! That means no internet! How, then, am I posting right now? Saxby's coffee, a few blocks away, has free wireless (and good coffee). At any rate, if you need me, calling is probably the fastest way to get me right now.

That leads me to last night. I tried desperately to get to a concert by Feedback winners "This is Luke", but missed their set by mere seconds. Still, I was able to catch sets by The Constants and Caspian. Both bands rocked. Check out the shots here for The Constants, and here for Caspian.

April & Bryan

Bright and early Saturday morning, I met April and Bryan (and April's Dad!) in beautiful downtown Nashville for their engagement shoot. While I think all of us were suffering from some early morning lag, we managed to drag ourselves to the top of the Shelby Street walking bridge. After some fun technical difficulty (for the record, I'm only buying name brand batteries from now on), we got cranking.

I knew we got some great stuff, but sitting down and looking through them was still a surprise. There is some great stuff in there! There's nothing more fun than getting a surprise in the darkroom (or on the computer, in this case).

April and Bryan will say their "I do's" in March 08. Stay tuned to see her bridal portraits sometime soon...

Oh, and feel free to check out the entire gallery here!

Feedback: Days 2 and 3

What a blast. I'm not sure I've got time to talk about everything!

The whole weekend provided some great sessions with the likes of Blaine Hogan (Starving Jesus) and Jay Bakker (Revolution Church). There was so much to think through, I'm still not sure I've got my brain wrapped around it all! And the bands! Where do I begin? The fantastic Goesl's Parade won the showcase. They'll be getting a full album produced for free, 1,000 copies, merchandise, website, graphic design (with Artillery Media) and a full photo shoot with yours truly. In second place was Crave and third was This Is Luke. All three acts are great live. I can't wait to see more of them.

Next year promises to be even better and BIGGER. If you're an indy Christian artist, do yourself a favor and get in before it sells out.

below are a few shots of the "house bands," Angie Raess Band and Fate of Angels. The last shot is Feedback creator Terry Weaver (right) with the winners, Goesl's Parade.
